The Khadem might have been killed out of personal rivalry.
The body of a khadem (caretaker of a mosque) of Mayor Mohammad Hanif Jame Mosque was found at the mosque premises in the capital’s Azimpur area on Wednesday night.
Locals recovered the body of Abu Hanif, 35, stuffed in a sack with stab wounds on his belly, from the second floor of the mosque complex, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Lalbagh Division, Nazir Ahmed Kahan, told The Business Standard.
The Khadem might have been killed out of personal rivalry, he said.
The body was sent to the Sir Salimullah Muslim Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
