Journalist Babul Mosharraf passes away
Babul was elected president of Sonargaon Press Club for five times and was also the president of Sahitya Niketan
Babul Mosharraf, a former president of Sonargaon Press Club in Narayanganj, passed away on Friday night. He was 65.
He had been suffering from lung and liver complications and died on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
He has left behind his wife, two sons and a lot of well-wishers to mourn his death.
The journalist was laid to rest at the Bagmuchha Samajik graveyard in Sonargaon.
Babul was elected president of Sonargaon Press Club for five times and was also the president of Sahitya Niketan.
A number of political leaders including lawmaker Liyakot Hossain Khoka, former lawmaker Abdullah Al Kaisar, have expressed profound grief over the death and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.
Former deputy secretary of Awami League central sub-committee AHM Masud Dulal, former acting general secretary of Sonargaon upazila unit Awami League Mahfuzur Rahman Kalam, General Secretary of Sonargaon unit BNP Azharul Islam Mannan, journalists and members of Sahitya Niketan have also expressed their sorrow and condolences at the demise of Babul Mosharraf.
