Islamists barred from placing memo to Indian High Commission

Leaders of Islamic Andolon Bangladesh were barred from entering the Indian High Commission where they intended to submit a memorandum on Tuesday, protesting the continued "torture on Muslims" in India and impudence of ISKCON and Priya Saha.
Police’s Gulshan Zone Assistant Commissioner Rofiqul Islam told The Business Standard: “A procession of the Islamists was marching towards the high commission. We stopped them at the UN point of Gulshan.”
The police inquired the Islamic Andolon leaders about the reasons for their procession and then contacted the High Commission to convey the message.
The Indian High Commission refused to receive the memorandum from the Islamists.
As the marchers became agitated by this, the police took the memorandum from them and assured them of sending it to the Indian High Commission themselves through proper diplomatic channels. After that the protesters left the spot.
Earlier in the morning, a procession of hundreds of activists of Islami Andolon Bangladesh, led by its Amir Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, started marching to Gulshan from the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque to press their demand for stopping torture on Muslims in India.
