IPDC to finance National ICT Awards of BASIS

IPDC Finance Limited, a non-banking financial institution, will provide funding for the third BASIS National ICT Awards. Winners of BASIS National ICT Awards will be nominated for APICTA Awards, 2019, which will be held at Ha Long Bay in Vietnam. 

An agreement in this regard was inked at BASIS auditorium in the capital on Thursday. BASIS President Syed Almas Kabir along with the Convener of BASIS National ICT Awards and BASIS Director Didarul Alam were present at the agreement signing ceremony. 

The primary round of submissions of applications for the ICT Awards have already been completed, and the second round will begin in the last week of this month with the selected shortlisted projects. The grand finale of BASIS National ICT Awards, 2019, will take place in October. 

BASIS President Syed Almas Kabir said, “In this competition, innovative and prospective ICT projects will be recognized, projects that illustrate the wide potential of Bangladesh’s ICT sector. We are glad to have IPDC with us in this initiative.”  

IPDC Finance Limited’s Managing Director and CEO Mominul Islam said, “The objective of BASIS National ICT Awards is to ensure recognition of outstanding achievements of individuals, students, entrepreneurs, SMEs and organizations who contributed to the Digital Bangladesh initiative or building software applications and services for the benefit of Bangladesh.” 

“We want to be long term partners in this initiative, and today our collaborative has begun,” he added.
