Information of all tenants of Dhaka city must be updated within 15 days.
With an aim to curb crimes in the city, already 50 police stations have been instructed to take necessary steps about it.
AKM Hafiz Akter, additional commissioner of the detective branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, came up with the disclosure at a press briefing at DMP media center on Sunday.
He said we are going to update renters' information again. We already talked about it with the police stations. Curbing crime in the city police are going to start again. It is a part of police strategy.
He further said recently, while investigating some abduction cases, we have found that criminals rent houses providing false information. As a result, police fail to trace them. That's why we ordered 50 police stations and beat officers to collect updated information.
