IGP sends Eid gifts to families of dedicated policemen

Inspector General of Bangladesh police (IGP) Dr Benazir Ahmed has sent Eid gifts to the families of police members who died on duty.

The Police Headquarters issued a press release regarding the matter on Wednesday.

The press release said seven policemen have died from Covid-19 this year. Earlier, 191 policemen died on duty in 2019. 

The Police Headquarters has sent food and Eid dresses for the families of these police members.

Meanwhile, the Police Headquarters and every unit of police arrange a program titled "Police Memorial Day" on March 1 every year. Through the program the police force recalls the members who dedicated their lives for the country.

Besides, the welfare division of the Police Headquarters looks after the family members of these police members whenever they need something.
