JKG Healthcare chairman’s case transferred to DMP Detective Branch

The Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has been authorised to further investigate the case filed against the JKG Healthcare Chairman, Dr Sabrina Arif Chowdhury, for providing fake Covid-19 test reports.

Mahbubur Rahman, Joint Commissioner of DMP Detective Branch told The Business Standard today.

Dr Sabrina, who was suspended from her post of a registrar doctor at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases is being taken to the DB office on Mintoo road in the capital.

Police on Sunday called Dr Sabrina for interrogation and later she was shown arrested after the hours long quizzing.   

The national institute of Cardiovascular Diseases suspended her when the news of her arrest broke out. Dr Sabrina is the wife of JKG Health Care Chief Executive Officer Ariful Chowdhury  who was earlier arrested on the same charge.
