Grameenphone introduces ‘One’ digital ecosystem
Grameenphone has launched "Grameenphone One", a new initiative aimed at transforming the company from a traditional telecom operator into a comprehensive digital service provider.
The move is designed to redefine customers' daily digital experiences with a suite of new, innovative services. At a launch event in Dhaka yesterday Grameenphone unveiled several new offerings under the 'One' ecosystem.
These include GP Shield, a service to protect users from online threats; Bioscope+, an aggregator platform for content from over 10 OTT services like Chorki and Hoichoi; and One Games, a portal with access to more than 5,000 online games. The company also announced major updates to its GPFi wireless home broadband and Alo IoT solutions.
Speaking at the event, BTRC Chairman Major General (retd) Md Emdad Ul Bari praised the initiative as a "significant step toward building a unified digital ecosystem" and commended the launch of GP Shield for enhancing digital safety.
Yasir Azman, CEO of Grameenphone, said the new ecosystem is built for the nation's youth.
"Grameenphone One is a bold ecosystem offering fast, secure, and empowering connectivity, with tools tailored to their ambitions," he said. "This is more than just tech; it's a commitment to stand beside the next generation."
