GPH Ispat to utilise Quantum Electric Arc Furnace tech

The GPH Ispat, one of the leading steel manufacturers in Bangladesh, is planning to utilise the latest Quantum Electric Arc Furnace technology to produce and market better steel products.
GPH Group Chairman Mohammad Jahangir Alam made the announcement at a seminar titled "Conference on Team Building and Knowledge Sharing" at the Bhatiary Golf & Country Club in Chattogram on Sunday.
Meanwhile, GPH Ispat Chairman Mohammad Alamgir Kabir said, "It is matter of pride to market a product made with the latest Quantum Electric Arc Furnace technology. Specialized human resources will be needed to market a special product.
"By organising training sessions on a regular basis, we will surely build a specialized workforce."
Meanwhile, Additional Managing Director Mohammad Almas Shimul said, "We need to establish a world class delivery system, logistics, manpower, sales and marketing team for our upcoming product."
At the conference, Head of project Engineer Dr Sayed Sumon gave a presentation on Quantum Electric Arc Furnace, while Engineer Asiful Haque described in brief on the quality aspect of the technology.
GPH Ispat Director Azizul Haque Razu, Advisor Brigadier General (retd) Abdul Wahab and Advisor Mushfique Saleheen Sadaf addressed the event among many others. Around 150 representatives of sales and marketing, branding, technical support staff and retailers of GPH Ispat from across the country were present at the event.
