Govt cancels contractual appointments of 24 officials

The government today cancelled contractual appointments of 24 officials, including ambassadors and bureaucrats, for the remaining period of their contracts.

The order came through a gazette issued by the Ministry of Public Administration.

Those whose contacts were cancelled are- Project Director (PD) of Sheikh Hasina Institute of Frontier Technology Syed Zahurul Islam, Additional Secretary of the President's Office Syed Belal Hossain, Ambassador of Bangladesh in Germany Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, Commissioner (Engineer) of Bangladesh Telecom Regulatory Commission Sheikh Riaz Ahmed , Bangladesh Ambassador to Iraq Md Fazlul Bari, Additional Secretary of Election Commission Secretariat Ashok Kumar Debnath, Commissioner (Management and Administration) of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission Md Delwar Hossain, Chairman of Bangladesh Rubber Board Syeda Sarwar Jahan, Project Director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited Md Aftab Uddin Talukder, Project Director of Export Competitiveness for Jobe (EC4J) Md Mansurul Alam, Member of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority Mohsina Yasmin, Secretary of Information Commission Zubaida Nasreen, Director General of Bangladesh National Museum Md Kamruzzaman, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Japan Shahabuddin Ahmad, Managing Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority GSM Zafrullah, Chairman of National River Protection Commission Sarwar Mahmud, Additional Director General of Directorate of Primary Education Dr Uttam Kumar Das, Director General of National Science and Technology Museum Mohammad Munir Chowdhury, Member of National River Protection Commission (Full time) Satyendra Kumar Sarkar, Secretary of Bangladesh Press Council Shyamal Chandra Karmakar, Project Director of National Digital Land Zoning Project (based on Mauza Plot) Md Kofil Uddin, Project Director of Establishment of Digital Land Management System Md Zahurul Haque, Executive Director of Kobi Nazrul Institute AFM Hayatullah and Director General of Bangabandhu Poverty Alleviation and Rural Development Academy Mohammad Borhanul Haque.
