Govt brings changes to some senior posts

The government on Sunday brought changes in a number of senior posts with promotion and transfers to expedite routine works.

The Ministry of Public Administration disclosed the development through separate gazette notifications, saying the changes are to be effective with no delay. 

According to the gazettes, Akram-Al Hossain, secretary to Primary and Mass Education Ministry, got promotion as senior secretary of the ministry while M Badrul Arefin, director general (additional secretary) of Food Planning and Monitoring Unit, was made secretary of the Cultural Affairs Ministry. 

Dr Md Abu Hena Mostofa Kamal, secretary to the Cultural Affairs Ministry was transferred to Defence Ministry with the same post while Technical and Madrasah Educatin Division Secretary Munshi Shahabuddin Ahmed was transferred as Chairman (secretary) of Bangladesh Tariff Commission.

Liberation War Affairs Ministry Secretary Md  Aminul Islam Khan was transferred as Secretary to Technical and Madrasah Educatin Division and Bangladesh Tariff Commission Chairman Tapan Kanti Ghosh as the Secretary to the Liberation War Affairs Ministry.
