Hajj aspirants must take Covid-19 vaccine: Ministry
They will have to take two doses of the vaccine by May

In preparation for the 2021 Hajj pilgrimage, 60,706 aspirants – who have registered via public and private organisations to perform the Hajj – will have to be vaccinated for Covid-19.
They will have to take two doses of the vaccine by May, read a notification issued by the Ministry of Religion on Tuesday.
The notice, signed by Mohammad Anwar Hossain, senior information officer at the Ministry of Religion, says that 4,833 registered people between 18-40 years of age and 55,573 people above 40 will be vaccinated before the Hajj.
The vaccine card will contain the aspirants' tracking number, name, date of birth, father's name, mother's name, NID number, current and permanent address, gender, mobile number, Hajj license number, agency number, etc.
The Ministry of Religion has requested that the Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services take the necessary steps to provide the first dose of the vaccine by March and the second dose by May.
The Saudi government published a gazette making it compulsory for the Covid-19 vaccine to be taken before performing the Hajj.
