Govt in action to tackle dengue spread outside Dhaka
The government has taken steps to tackle the spread of dengue outside Dhaka.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has identified 611 people infected with dengue outside the capital.
“We will start delivering dengue test kits and treatment guidelines across the country from today,” said Dr Sania Tahmina, director of Disease Control Unit of the DGHS, at a press briefing on Monday.
She said steps have been taken for dengue test along with awareness campaigns in different ports of entrance like Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Benapole Land Port and Chittagong Port.
Ten monitoring teams are working to regulate private hospitals and clinics whether they are maintaining a common rate chart for dengue test fees set by the DGHS.
