Deputy Education Minister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury MP on Wednesday said the government is planning to formulate "Bangladesh Qualification Framework" to align the English medium qualifications, technical qualifications with the regular academic qualifications in the country.

He expressed hope to work with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) in this regard, said a press release.

"ICAB may come up with the proposal to have the equivalency degree of CA qualification in a joint collaboration with the university under University Grant Commission(UGC). Chartered Accountants may engage in academic deliberations in classroom of universities so that students can get in-depth knowledge in the subject covering technical aspects," he said.

As chief guest, Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury made the remarks at the inaugural programme of "Digital Library and Automation of Library Management System" organised by ICAB.
.
He added that digital libraries pave the choices through various contents on the same issue and acts as an open-source consortium for students and teachers.

Many universities and institutions of the country have their own digital libraries and the use of these online libraries is rising specially during this pandemic time, he said.

ICAB President Mahmudul Hasan Khusru said ICAB installed Integrated Library Management software 'koha' to automate the typical procedure of the Library such as acquisition, cataloguing, circulation, serial control and reporting and also Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) for users.

Describing the features of the ICAB digital library he said, D-space (Institutional Repository Management Software) of the library will collect, store and disseminate all the publications published by ICAB to the users digitally.
