In the face of any barrier, the traders are asked to call at 01712-168917, 01738-195106, 01756-173560

As the country is going into a week-long strict lockdown from tomorrow, the Ministry of Commerce has launched a helpline service and asked the traders to contact if they face any hazard in transporting commodities.

"If you encounter any problem in production, import, transportation and marketing processes of daily necessary commodities, contact the ministry control cell," the ministry urged the traders through a press note.

The contact numbers are - 01712-168917, 01738-195106, and 01756-173560.

The authorities are all set to enforce the strict lockdown from 14 to 21 April, in a bid to tackle the upward trend of coronavirus fatalities and infections.

During the lockdown, no one will be allowed to move outside the home. All private, autonomous and government offices will remain shut. No vehicle will ply on the roads.

However, the emergency service outlets, in addition to people and vehicles associated with the service, will remain out of the purview of the restriction.

In emergency cases, people are allowed to move publicly after taking a movement pass from the authorities
