The prices of gold will decrease by Tk1,166  per bhori in the local bullion market from Thursday.

The Bangladesh Jewellers Association took this decision because of a decline in the price of bullion in the international market.

According to the revised chart, price of per bhori 22 karat gold  will be Tk60,361; per bhori 21carat gold will be Tk58,028 and per bhori 18 carat gold will be Tk53,012. Each bhori traditional gold will be Tk40,250 while the price of silver will remain unchanged.

When asked about the impact of coronavirus, Bangladesh Jewellers Association general secretary Dilip Kumar Agarwal said, "Our bullion market has yet to see impact of coronavirus. Our business is running normally."
