Garment workers block Badda U-loop for arrears pay

Due to the blocking, long tailback of vehicles was created

Workers of two readymade garment (RMG) factories have been staging demonstrations blocking the Badda U-loop road in the capital demanding payment of their dues.

Due to the blocking, long tailback of vehicles was created.

"Workers have been blocking the road for more than one hour and claimed that are not getting salary since February," said, Mamun Abdullah, assistant commissioner (Badda traffic zone) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

"We are trying to communicate with the factories' owners to solve the problem", said  Mamun.
