Four killed as train hits auto-rickshaw in Rangpur

At least four people were killed and three injured after train hit an auto-rickshaw at Pirgachha of Rangpur today.

 

The deceased are auto-rickshaw driver Hamidul Islam Dukhu, 34, Nurunnahar Begum, 25, Sumi Akter, 21 and Mostafizur Rahman, 42.

 

Officer in charge of Pirgachha police station Rezaul Karim said, "A train hit the auto rickshaw near Anaadanagar rail station around 2 pm, leaving two dead on the spot and other two died on way to the hospital."

 

The injured were admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
