Abdullah Al Baharam, in-charge of Notabenki outpost in Satkhira range under West Sundarbans, has been suspended for his alleged involvement in killing a deer.

Khulna Divisional Forest Conservator Abu Naser Mohsin Hossain of Bangladesh Forest Department suspended Abdullah Al Baharam on 1 March for killing and hosting his acquaintances to its meat.

Abul Hasan, divisional forest officer of the Sundarbans Satkhira Range, said, "After investigating I found last month that a deer from the Sundarbans was caught in a security cordon at the outpost."

"The deer was caught and slaughtered at the outpost," added Hasan.

Then, the accused official hosted his relatives with its meat, he said.

However, the incident was secretly recorded on a mobile phone and was sent to the Divisional Forest Conservator's Office.

Then the investigation of the incident started.

However, Baharam denied the blame and said, "I am being framed for conspiracy because of the internal grouping of forest workers."

Khulna Divisional Forest Conservator Abu Naser Mohsin Hossain said the in-charge of the outpost has been suspended due to the truth of the incident.
