Five ambulance passengers killed in Kushtia road mishap

The accident took place when a seed carrying truck hit the ambulance at Laxmipur area on Kushtia-Jhenaidah Highway around 3:30pm, leaving five of the ambulance passengers dead on the spot, the official added.

At least five passengers of an ambulance, including a woman, were killed when a speeding truck collided with it in Sadar Upazila on Tuesday afternoon.

Julhas Kabir, in-charge of Kushtia Highway Police confirmed the matter to The Business Standard around 3:50pm. However, the identity of the deceased couldn't be known immediately.

The passenger ambulance was returning to Narail after treating their patient from a hospital in Pabna.
