First death from dengue in Chattogram this year

A middle aged man died of dengue at Park View Hospital in Chattogram early Saturday.
The deceased is Md Badsha Mollah, 45, hailed from Salimpur of Sitakuna upazila of Chattogram.
He was the first patient who died of dengue in Chattogram.

“Badsha was admitted to the hospital on August 22. He was suffering from multiple diseases including dengue. Later, he was transferred to Intensive Care Unit and died at around 5am on Saturday,” said Dr Nurul Hayder, medical officer (disease control) of Civil Surgeon office.
A total of 1,111 patients were affected with dengue in Chattogram this year, according to civil surgeon office.
