A fire gutted at least 30 rooms at Kandapara brothel in Tangail today.

Abdur Razzak, deputy director of the Tangail Fire Service, confirmed that no casualties were reported in the incident.

Three fire service units brought the blaze under control after a hectic three-hour effort.

The fire originated from a gas cylinder in a kitchen of the brothel at around noon, and soon spread to other rooms, said Razzak.
