Fire at foam factory in Gazipur

A fire broke out at a foam factory in Pubail of Gazipur today.
Deputy Assistant Director of Gazipur Fire Service Abdul Hamid said the fire broke out at Al-Razi Polymer Factory in Pubail area around 11:15 pm last night and soon spread to the steel made one-storey factory. After receiving the news, firefighters of Gazipur, Tongi, and Uttara Fire Service rushed to the spot and put out the fire after one hour of hectic efforts.
The fire burned the factory's machinery, yarn, foam and raw materials. Besides, a portion of the factory also collapsed due to excessive heat. However, no casualty was reported.
