Fire at DU central library doused

A fire that broke out at the Central Library of Dhaka University (DU) on Sunday morning was brought under control with a short time.

The fire originated from an electric short circuit at around 10:45 am on the ground floor of the three-storeyed building, said DU Proctor Prof Dr AKM Golam Rabbani.

Library staff doused the blaze before firefighters reached the spot, he added.

However, no casualty was reported in the fire.
