Fire at building in Dhaka’s Uttara doused

A fire broke out at a six-storey building in Dhaka's Uttara area this afternoon.

"The fire broke out around 2:50 pm at the building located at sector-13 of Uttara," said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Uttara West Police Station Tapan Chandra Saha.

The fire which originated from electric short circuit has gutted many valuables of the third floor of the building, he added.

Being informed, three firefighting units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze after half an hour efforts, said Fire Service and Civil Defence official.

However, no one was injured in this incident.
