Fire breaks out at Dhaka slum
A fire has broken out at a slum in Kathalbagan area of the capital city Thursday night.
The fire originated there at 9:38pm and spread rapidly to the shanties of the slum.
On information, six fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and were working to bring the flame under control, Mahfuz Reven, a duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters, told The Business Standard.
The cause behind the fire and extent of damage could not be known immediately.
