Members of Airport Armed Police Battalion (APBn) on Thursday arrested a female crew member with 82 bars of gold, weighing 10 kilograms, from Hazrat Shahajalal International Airport.

The arrestee was identified as Rokeya Sheikh Moushumi, 24, a flight attendant of US-Bangla Airlines.

She came to Dhaka on a US-Bangla flight from Muscat around 11:30am, said Additional Superintendent of APBn, Alamgir Hossain Shimul.

On a tip-off, a team of APBn stopped Moushumi at green channel and arrested her for smuggling gold.
