Father of Mamunul's 'second wife' detained

Police have detained Aliur Rahman, father of Hefazat-e-Islam joint secretary general Mamunul Haque's second wife Jannat Ara Jharna, for interrogation.
He was taken to Faridpur's Alfadanga police station around 10:30 pm on Saturday.
Aliur is a freedom fighter and former army member. He is the president of ward 4 of Gopalpur Union Awami League in Alfadanga upazila.
Shirina Begum, Jharna's mother, said the OC and policemen came at night and took him away. However, no reason was mentioned.
Being asked Gopalpur Union Awami League president Mohammad Monaim Khan said, "The OC of the police station informed me over the phone around 9:30 last night that he was going to Aliur Rahman's house."
"I don't know anything else," he added.
The OC said that they brought him to the police station and a team from Dhaka will join the interrogation.
