A moderate cold wave is sweeping over the country with a forecast of a fall in temperatures by nightfall.
The chilling weather has already engulfed the northern districts of Rajshahi, Rangpur, and Chuadanga and it may spread further over the country, reported Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) in its latest forecast.
The minimum temperature forecast of 10.1 degrees Celsius was recorded in Faridpur today, while the minimum temperature forecast for Dhaka today is 15.4 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperature forecast is 26.6 degrees Celsius in Teknaf.
However, Chuadanga recorded a temperature of 8.4 degrees Celsius at its lowest yesterday, while recording the lowest of 10.4 degrees Celsius today as of the filing of this report for the second consecutive day.
Meanwhile, the highest of 26.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Teknaf, according to the information from Met office yesterday.
