Extend 43rd BCS application deadline till 31 March: UGC

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has urged Bangladesh Public Service Commission, to extend the application deadline for the 43rd civil service examination till 31 March.
In this regard, the UGC issued a formal request letter to the BPSC on Thursday.
The UGC noted that all educational institutions in the country have been closed since March 18, 2020 as per the government instructions. No examinations took place at the graduation and post-graduation level during the period.
Against such backdrop, the vice-chancellors of all public universities held a meeting on 13 December and decided to take examinations of the final year students at graduation and post-graduation level, complying with hygiene rules.
The VCs had also requested the UGC to take necessary step on behalf of the universities to extend the application time for the BCS examination.
