Power consumers with prepaid electricity meters under the Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited (DPDC) will be able to recharge their cards from home.

The electricity supplying company directed its agents to reach the service to the doorsteps of the customers, read a press release signed by its Managing Director Engineer Bikash Dewan.

For recharging the prepaid meters, customers have to call their nearest agents. A list of agents is available on the DPDC's website: www.dpdc.org.bd/agentlist.

The government on Monday announced that all government and private offices will remain shut from March 26 to April 4 to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus in the country.

Only kitchen markets, hospitals and other emergency services will remain open during this time. The Bangladesh Bank will instruct banks to limit their services during the period.
