However, Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries will celebrate Eid on Sunday

Holy Eid-ul-Fitr, the largest religious festival of Muslims, will be celebrated in the country on Monday as the Shawwal moon was not sighted in Bangladesh sky on Saturday.

National Moon Sighting Committee made the announcement today.

The Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka will hold five congregations of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr this year.  The first congregation will be held at 7:00am, the second at 8:00am, the third at 9:00am, the fourth at 10:00am, and the fifth at 10:45am.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries will celebrate Eid on Sunday.
