Schools to remain open for 15 days during Ramadan

The government has decided to keep secondary schools open for the first 15 days of Ramadan and the time will be 10 days for primary schools. 

In an announcement on Thursday, the Ministry of Education corrected the academic calendar for 2024, to keep open all secondary schools, both public and private, from 11 to 25 March.

However, academic activities at the primary schools will continue till 20 March. 

Classes and other academic activities will proceed as usual during these 15 days, according to the notification. 

The ministry has brought a partial change to the notice it issued on 13 December last year, which outlined the holiday schedule and academic calendar for the year 2024 for the primary and secondary schools.
