Poor Infrastructure is the major challenge of online education: speakers

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) organised a virtual session today titled "Challenges and opportunities of Online Education in Bangladesh".

Poor infrastructure remains a major challenge for connecting the concerned students to this platform, said, speakers in a discussion about online education as it has appeared as a new method of learning amid the Covid-19 outbreak. 

The main focus of the session was to motivate the students about continuing their studies during the pandemic period. 

Professor Dr Md Golam Samdani Fakir, Vice Chancellor of GUB addressed the session as a chief guest while Professor Dr Md Abdur Razzaque, Pro-Vice Chancellor spoke as a special guest.

They said that the country's education system is not ready for online classes. However, this is a great chance to bring the major changes in the system to meet the future.

Among others Prof Dr Md. Monirul Islam and Prof Dr Md Zahidul Islam from the department of CSE were present as discussants.
