Polytechnic students protest for seat in engineering universities
Polytechnic students on Sunday formed a human chain to press home their four-point demand including allocation of seats for diploma students in all engineering universities.
The students staged a human chain under the banner 'General Polytechnic Students' in front of the National Press Club.
Earlier, they held similar programmes on 5, 11, 15 and 18 January to implement their demands.
The students' demands include reducing the session jam, removing extra fees and waiving 50 percent semester fees of private polytechnic institutions.
