Poetry workshop held at Chittagong Independent University

The Department of English of Chittagong Independent University (CIU) on Wednesday organised a workshop titled 'Poetry Workshop" at the American Corner Chittagong. 

The workshop was conducted by the eminent Poet and Translator Professor Kaiser Haq, said a press release.

The venue was overflowing with enthusiastic students of English while Professor Kaiser Haq discussed rhetoric and the easiest way of identifying meter and rhyme of a poem through various activities. 

He also rewarded some of the students for their good performance. 

The workshop concluded with Professor Haq's recitation of his two renowned poems, `Ode on Lungi` and `Durga Puja`. 

Professor Quazi Mostain Billah, dean of SLASS, Charmain Rodrigues, assistant professor and head of the Department of English at CIU, all the faculty members and students of the department attended the workshop.
