Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the distribution of textbooks for the 2021 academic year at a ceremony held on Thursday at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC).

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni will distribute the textbooks to some students during the event.

According to the ministry of education, secondary and lower secondary schools will be given three days to distribute textbooks to each class separately, to avoid the risks of Covid-19.

Schools will have 12 days to distribute books among students from classes six to nine.

In the meantime, textbooks were sent to school principals across the country.

Primary schools will start textbook distribution on January 1, and students will be able to collect their books that same day.
