PM to provide financial assistance to teachers and staff of non-MPO institutions

PMO sources said that 51,266 teachers and 10,208 staff of non-MPO technical education institutions, madrasas and autonomous Ebtedayi madrasas will receive Tk 5000 and Tk 2500 respectively as financial assistance from the PM’s relief fund

Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina has decided to provide one-time financial assistance to teachers and staff of institutions which are not under the monthly pay order (MPO) system as the pandemic has had an adverse impact on their income sources.

PMO sources said that 51,266 teachers and 10,208 staff of non-MPO technical education institutions, madrasas and autonomous Ebtedayi madrasas will receive Tk 5000 and Tk 2500 respectively as financial assistance from the PM's relief fund.

The total amount provided from the fund will be taka 28,18,40,000.

It should be noted that the prime minister has already provided Tk 16,98,70,000 in financial assistance to orphans and economically challenged individuals of 13,929 Qawmi madrasas.

The PM has also provided 80,747 teachers and 25,038 staff of non-MPO institutions under the secondary and higher secondary education department with financial assistance worth taka 46,63,30,000 as well.
