North South University (NSU) has set an example by inaugurating the much-vaunted Canvas learning management system for the first time in the country.

It has signed an agreement with Canvas, the company that built the system, in this regard.

All acclaimed universities worldwide like Harvard University, Oxford University, Princeton University, and Yale University are already using the canvas learning management system, said a press release of North South University on Sunday.

Using the method, course formulation, preservation, class operation, and assessments will be possible in a single transparent platform for all students, teachers, the administration, and guardians.

The Canvas learning management system is suitable for both online and regular class operations.

North South University Vice Chancellor Prof Atiqul Islam presided over the inauguration programme where Education Minister Dipu Moni was present as the chief guest and MA Kashem, the university's trustee board Chairman and former president of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry, was the special guest.
