IEEE CUET starts registration for case-solving competitions

The registration for thenational case-solving competitions titled "Face the Case 2.0" of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE),of Chittagong University for Engineering and Technology (CUET) branch has started from May 01 and will be continued till 17th of May, said a press release here on Monday.

IEEE, is the world's largest professional association for electronic engineering and electrical engineering-based in the USAgiving access and platform to thousands of research papers, sessions, seminars and competitions. 

The competition is a "case solving" competition where participants are to find sustainable and yet feasible solutions to the given cases. The cases are basically based on current global and national issues. 

IEEE CUET Student Branch, is one of its prominent branches, has always been active in their works and attempts to engage students in technology and investing in their future career. 

With the hope of bringing a little bit of silver lining during this challenging time of pandemic, creating means to be productive, and bringing out hidden potentials, IEEE CUET student branch decided to take a small and yet effective, well-appraised step which emerged as the event called "Face the Case" competition. 

This event initiated its journey in CUET in May 2020, while 147 teams consisting of 328 participants from 39 Universities all over the country competed.Inspired by the enormous responses form the first event, Face the Case 2.0 is to reach even higher levels this time, expected the organizers. 

There willbe two phases in the competition- a selection phase (20th to 27th of May) and a final round (1st to 11th of July). The top teams from the selection phase will move on to the final round to face the judges where they will be giving an online live presentation. The winning teams will receive exciting prizes from IEEE CUET SB.
