The results of this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations will be published on Wednesday, the Education Ministry sources said.

Education Minister Dipu Moni and Deputy Minister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury Nowfel will hand over a summary of the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her Gonobhaban residence at 10am.

Later, chairmen of all 10 education boards will hand over the results to the prime minister.

Results will be available to students at 1pm.

All candidates will be able to get their results from respective centres, educational institutions, respective board sections at www.educationboardresults.gov.bd and through SMS.

To get the result through mobile phone, students will have to send an SMS to 16222 with text “HSC” followed by a space, then first three letters of the respective education board, another space, then roll number followed by a space, and then “2019”.

For example, one has to write in their SMS app “HSC dha 123456 2019”, and send it to 16222.

Madrasa students will have to write “Alim” and “Mad” instead of “HSC” and the respective board’s first three letters. For Technical Education Board, students will have to write “Tec” instead of the board’s name.

A total of 1,351,505 students from 9,081 educational institutions took part in the examinations at 2,579 centres across the country. Of them, 664,496 students are males and 687,009 females.

Of the total, 1,138,747 students sat the exams under eight education boards, 124,264 under the Technical Education Board, 88,451 under the Madrasa Education Board, and 43 under the Diploma in Business Studies Board.

The number of students at eight overseas centres was 275.
