FICCI Chairman meets DU VC

Chairman of North East Advisory Council of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Ranjit Barthakur called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman at his office on Tuesday.

Chairman of the Department of Botany of DU Prof. Dr. Rakha Hari Sarker and Prof. Dr. Mohammad Zabed Hossain were present on this occasion. 

During the meeting they discussed the possibilities of strengthening ongoing joint collaborative academic and research programs conducted by the University of Dhaka and different higher educational Institutions in India.

The Indian delegate expressed his willingness to provide support and cooperation to conduct research on conservation of biodiversity at DU.

Earlier, Mr Ranjit Barthakur delivered a lecture at a workshop on "Understanding Deforestation Patterns and Designing Customized Habitat Restoration Plans" at the central gallery of the Department of Botany of DU organized by Balipara Foundation of India organized this workshop in cooperation with DU Botany Department.
