The educational institutions across the country will remain shut for more days as a favourable environment has not been created yet to reopen those.

"The new date will be announced later," Education Minister Dipu Moni said in briefing today.

She also said the routine of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will be announced next week's Monday or Tuesday.

Earlier on March 16, the Ministry of Education issued a press release regarding the government decision of closing all educational institutions and coaching centres from March 18-31, considering the safety of the students amid the global pandemic. No classes have been held since that day, although the official activities were gradually restored.

Later the closure date was extended by the ministry in several terms. Starting with the extension till April 9, then came respectively April 25, May 5, May 30, August 6, August 31 and finally until October 3.
