Teachers of Sada Dal of Dhaka University have condemned the decision of canceling the title of 'Bir Uttam' of former president and BNP founder Ziaur Rahman.

"We are badly worried and disappointed over the decision taken by Jatiya Muktijoddha Council (Jamuka)," they said in a press release.

The release was signed by Professor Md Lutfor Rahaman, convener of Sada Dal.

The Jamuka took the decision citing Ziaur Rahman's role in Bangabandhu's assassination at its 72nd meeting held at the Scout Bhaban in the capital on 9 February.
