Dhaka University ranked No. 1 in Bangladesh

Dhaka University has been ranked as the No. 1 higher educational institute in Bangladesh by Webometrics, a Madrid-based educational and research institution in Spain. 

Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) is ranked one notch below the 2nd position. 

Webometrics Ranking of World Universities recently updated the listing on their website. DU and BUET however, are at 1634th and 1702nd position in the world ranking. 

Among the private universities, Brac University is ranked the highest at 6th position while being holding 2664th position globally. North South University took 8th place in Bangladesh and 2773rd in the global ranking. 

According to Webometrics, the top ten universities in Bangladesh are --- Dhaka University, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Shahjalal University of Science & Technology, Rajshahi University, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Brac University, Jahangirnagar University, North South University Bangladesh, Chittagong University, and Independent University Bangladesh
