"The situation is yet to be conducive for opening an educational institution. However, exams like HSC, JSC are being considered with emphasis," said Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam

The Primary and Mass Education Ministry will make a decision soon regarding the examinations of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC), Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Primary Education Completion (PEC).

Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam told this to reporters on Monday after a cabinet meeting at the secretariat in the capital.

The situation is yet to become conducive for opening a school or college. However, exams like HSC, JSC are being considered, he said.

At the briefing, the cabinet secretary also said that the government is thinking of amending the acts enacted between 1972 and August 15, 1975 instead of making a new one.

He said the cabinet has taken the decision in the interest of preserving the administrative policies and strategies of the post-independence state for the new generation.
