CU decides to take postponed exams soon

Regarding the intake test, SM Monirul said all participants of the meeting reached a consensus that the tests will be held with physical presence of the applicants.

The authorities of Chittagong University (CU) have decided to hold the departmental examinations that have been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic soon. 

Besides, decision has been made to take the entrance test for 2020-21 academic session with physical presence. But the residential halls will remain close as before during the examination. 

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Academic Council held at noon on Sunday, said Registrar (Acting) of the university, Professor SM Monirul Hasan.

The registrar said a decision has been made to take postponed examinations of different departments complying with health rules. 

A committee will formulate the detailed plan over holding the examinations and execute that, he added.

After discussing the issue with the students, the department Chairmen will announce the examination schedule at a convenient time, he mentioned.

Regarding the intake test, SM Monirul said all participants of the meeting reached a consensus that the tests will be held with physical presence of the applicants.

"We'll wait until December. The Central Admission Committee of the university will take the subsequent decision once the results of HSC and equivalent exams are published," he added.
