BELTA to organize international conference tomorrow

Bangladesh English Language Teachers Association (BELTA) is organising a full-day 9th International (Virtual) Conference on Saturday.

This year the theme of the conference is 'Education during the Pandemic: Learning amid Crisis and Emerging Opportunities'.

University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Dr. Kazi Shahidullah will present as the chief guest, while globally renowned researcher and educationist, Dr. Elizabeth Erling, University of Vienna, as special presenter and Dr. Obaidul Hamid, University of Queensland will be among the six international and five national plenary presenters.

There are two panel discussions on learning during the pandemic and planning for the future during the post-covid era, comprising educationists from India, Nepal, Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan, Ireland, Australia, UK and Bangladesh.

Nearly 200 participants are expected to virtually attend from around the world. Professor Dr. Rubina Khan, President, BELTA will deliver the opening remarks.
