The job market around the world is open for IT professionals. Our students need to acquire skills in this field, said the minister

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen said Bangladesh wants to play a leading role in establishing long-lasting peace in the world in future.

The minister made the remark on Thursday at a virtual orientation programme organised by  Southeast University for its newly enrolled students of the summer semester 2020.

"The job market around the world is open for IT professionals. Our students need to acquire skills in this field," said the minister at the event.

The minister said education is the most important sector for the development of a country.

When education is weak, policies, state laws are weak and the country lags behind, he said.
