“Bangla likhi Banglay” 2nd edition kicks off

The second edition of Speed "Bangla Likhi Banglay" (Let's write Bangla in Bangla) - a competition to raise awareness about Bangla language - began on February 12. 

Speed, a popular beverage brand of the country, started organising the campaign since last year. 

This is an online competition and will end on February 28. 

The event aims to raise awareness among young generation about the conservation of mother tongue and to check distortion of the language.  

Contestants have to use their Facebook profile to log in to the website of the platform. Every day, top 10 contestants will receive a case of Speed cans. At the end of the contest, the best three will get latest smartphones.

Last year, the completion was a grand success with the participation of over 50,000 youths. It also gained popularity across the country.  

The campaign also snatched bronzes in best integrated digital campaign category of Digital Marketing Award, and in digital category of Commward by Bangladesh Brand Forum.

Akij Food & Beverage Ltd thinks that the campaign will play a great role to prevent distortion of Bangla language. 

The authorities also believe that the event of this year will also be a successful.
